BMS continues the journey towards greener transport with HVO

At BMS, we are constantly working to reduce our environmental footprint and promote sustainability in every aspect of our business. A key step in this direction is our transition to alternative fuels, and we have therefore started using Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil – also known as HVO – as part of our fleet.

In our Hvidovre branch, we have launched a pilot project where all our vehicles are fuelled with HVO. This 100% biomass-based fuel reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 90% and local emissions by up to 31%, making it one of the most effective solutions on the market for reducing the environmental impact of heavy transport.

We have already gained valuable experience with HVO over the past few years and look forward to expanding its use across our fleet, provided the pilot project goes as planned. We expect to implement HVO fully in all our departments during the year.

At BMS, we see HVO as a future-proof solution that allows us to reduce our carbon emissions while maintaining high efficiency in our transport and crane operations.
