BMS secures the foundation for Denmark’s energy grid

The Danish electricity grid is reaching its limits, while ambitions for more green energy continue to grow. Wind, solar, green gas and Power-to-X solutions require a robust and flexible energy grid, and BMS plays a crucial role in making this possible.

In just a few years, BMS’ steel plate activities have grown significantly. With over 100,000 of our own steel plates and handling more than 70,000 Energinet plates, we are directly contributing to the expansion of the Danish electricity grid from the west coast to the eastern part of the country. The work includes moving overhead lines underground and erecting new masts with high-voltage lines.

To keep up with demand, we have expanded our fleet with 21 remotely controlled steel plate trucks, invested in a steel plate cleaner, and purchased equipment for straightening crooked plates. The result is faster workflows, improved working conditions, and secure delivery for Energinet and the rest of the energy sector.
