IDEALLY LOCATED ON THE QUAYSIDE
Since the extraction of fossil fuels began in the Danish part of the North Sea some 50 years ago, the Port of Esbjerg has been the principal base for Denmark’s oil and gas activities.
However, thanks to its setting on the Danish west coast the Port of Esbjerg has been a centre for the transportation of goods between Denmark and other European harbours ever since it was founded in 1868. Today it is an international, multimodal transport centre with more than 200 companies and 10,000 people working here, serving as a Scandinavian gateway to the rest of the world.
